Doors-only makeovers are completed in a single day. Jobs that include new worktops typically take 2 to 3 days, as the worktops are measured and cut on site to fit your walls exactly. Either way, we always make sure you have working water restored before we pack up each evening — no weeks of living off takeaways.

We offer over 600 colour and style combinations across two main types: vinyl wrapped doors (available in dozens of styles like shaker, slab, cottage and more, in over 70 colours) and laminate doors (in 55 colours across grey tones, muted colours, mirror gloss and solid colours). Our kitchen door makeovers start from £1,300 for kitchens with up to 13 doors — that includes plinths, end panels, soft-close hinges, new handles and professional fitting. Larger kitchens are priced per door, and most customers are pleasantly surprised at how little extra it is. Every kitchen is measured individually so you get an honest, accurate price. The home visit and quote are completely free with no obligation.

Our from-£1,300 package covers up to 13 new replacement doors, 2 plinths, up to 4 end panels or show sides, soft-close hinges on every door, new handles and professional fitting — all measured, supplied and installed. If you need extras like new worktops, additional panels or layout changes, we'll price those separately and clearly at your free home visit so there are no surprises.

You'll see headline prices like that from Wickes, B&Q and others, but look closely — that's usually supply-only for a limited number of units, without fitting, worktops, plumbing, electrics, tiling, or disposal of the old kitchen. By the time everything is included, a new fitted kitchen typically costs £8,000–£15,000 and takes 2–3 weeks with no usable kitchen during the work. A Kitchen Faces makeover gives you the new look without the disruption or the hidden costs.

Because every door is custom-made to your kitchen, we take a 50% deposit when the order is placed (after the final measure-up), with the remaining 50% due on completion once you're happy with everything. Nothing is paid at the home visit or quote stage.

Yes — every single door and drawer front is custom-made to fit your cupboards exactly, not cut from off-the-shelf sizes. That means non-standard sizes, older kitchens, bespoke units or unusual cupboards are no problem at all. It doesn't matter whether your kitchen is from Howdens, Wickes, B&Q, IKEA, Magnet, a custom joiner or anywhere else — if the carcasses are in good condition, we can make faces to fit them. This is one of the biggest differences between a Kitchen Faces makeover and a high-street DIY replacement.

During the home visit, Darren checks the condition of your existing units. Minor issues like a loose hinge or a shelf that needs re-fixing are sorted as part of the job. If a carcass is beyond repair, we'll let you know honestly and discuss options — but in most kitchens, the boxes are perfectly sound even when the doors look tired.

For doors-only makeovers, there's very little prep needed — just clearing the worktop surface so Darren can work comfortably. If you're having new worktops, we'll ask you to empty the base cupboards underneath and clear the worktop surface, as there's unavoidable dust from cutting and fitting. Darren handles all the skilled work himself, including disconnecting built-in sinks, taps, electric hobs and ovens. You'll get a clear prep checklist at the home visit.

New soft-close hinges are fitted as standard with every door replacement. No more slamming cupboards.

Yes. We supply and fit Bushboard worktops — both the Omega range (premium finishes) and Options range (great value). There are dozens of colours and styles including stone, marble, wood and concrete effects. We can also fit new sinks, taps and upstands at the same time.

Yes. We remove your old doors and drawer fronts and take all the rubbish with us. We also clean up as we go — you won't be left with a mess.

Darren handles all the skilled disconnects and reconnects himself — sink, taps, electric hobs, built-in ovens and extractors. For gas hobs, we bring in a Gas Safe engineer to handle the gas side (usually same day so there's no delay). If you'd like to upgrade your sink, taps or hob while we're there, we can supply and fit new ones too.

Darren — the owner of Kitchen Faces. The person you speak to on the phone is the same person who measures your kitchen, orders your doors and fits them. All the skilled work is Darren's — no salespeople, no handoffs. On bigger jobs he'll occasionally have a labourer with him for heavy lifting, but nothing that touches your finished kitchen is sub-contracted. Dad Peter also still lends a hand on some jobs too — it's a family business.

We cover roughly a one-hour drive from our base in Hednesford, Staffordshire. That takes in Cannock, Lichfield, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Stafford, Birmingham, Tamworth, Sutton Coldfield, Dudley, Solihull, Burton upon Trent and surrounding areas. Not sure if you're in range? No — and that's by design. Instead of paying for a showroom and passing that cost on to you, Darren comes to your home with samples so you can see colours and finishes in your own kitchen, in your own lighting. It's a better way to choose, and it keeps our prices down.

Darren visits your home, looks at your kitchen, takes measurements and discusses what you'd like. You'll see door and worktop samples in person. The whole thing takes about 30 minutes and there's no pressure — if you want to think about it, that's absolutely fine. You'll get a clear, written quote with no hidden extras.

Once you've accepted a quote, your made-to-measure doors are typically ready within 2–3 weeks. We then agree an installation date that suits you. From first call to finished kitchen, most customers are done within a month.
